FAQ
What does it do
It hops between apps with sound and changes volume for one app at a time. You stay in the game.
What are the keys
Hold Left Alt. Prev or Next selects. Volume Up or Down adjusts. Without Left Alt, every key acts normal.
Everything is rebindable in Settings, on the tray icon.
Does it change master volume
No. Only the selected app. Hoppr registers its key combinations with Windows, so the system volume panel never appears.
Does it split browser tabs
Not yet. One browser is one audio source, the same as the Windows Volume Mixer. Per tab control is a paid extension that is not built yet.
Does it skip the game
Yes, by default. It hides the focused app from the hop list. Turn that off in Settings, or add specific games to the exclude list.
Will it get me banned
Hoppr registers six named hotkeys with Windows and installs no global keyboard hook. It has no driver, no injection, and does not read the keyboard.
We cannot promise what any individual anti cheat decides. If a game blocks it, custom key binds are the workaround.
Which Windows builds
Windows 10 version 1809 or newer, and Windows 11. 64 bit only.
What about Mac and Linux
- Linux: planned
- macOS: planned
- Phone remote: planned
Nothing on this list is shipped. The status badges come from the build config, so they cannot drift.
Is there a Pro
Planned, not sold. planned
Does it need administrator rights
No. Hoppr runs as a normal tray app.
Does it phone home
No telemetry, no analytics, no crash uploads. The only network feature planned is an update check that reports a version number and downloads nothing without you.
